Oh How Lovely, Was the Morning

Don’t you just love it when you realize two beautiful hymns fit together perfectly? I do.

This song is an arrangement of Joseph Smith’s First Prayer and Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing for solo soprano and piano.

It would be a beautiful song to sing for an LDS Sacrament Meeting or Fireside.

If you decide to print, please email me and let me know.   I’d really love to have an idea of where my music ends up.  I’d also love your comments and opinions!

Thank you for sharing this. I’m thinking of using it for my choir but I would need to figure out a way to put the SATB in there. Beautiful arrangement!

This song was performed by our singles ward at the adult session of stake conference. I was so overcome by the spirit that I had to have the music. I served a mission in Germany, where they love the hymn “Come Thou Font of Every Blessing”. I also came to know for myself in such a real way that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God while teaching a sweet sister the First Vision while in Germany. When the two things came together in this piece, I felt that God was again speaking directly to me through this music. You are amazing for putting this together, and for sharing your talent with others. Thank you so much! From El Segundo, CA
